Stereo Synth DI

I needed a clean way to track the extremely high stereo outputs of the vintage synths in the studio like the Juno 60. I came into a few used Jensen JT-DB transformers that are perfect step down transformers for the job. The accompanying circuit includes ground lift switch with RF noise filter, AC coupling on the input, and output pad to ensure the mic preamps can handle the full volume output of anything plugged in.

Graphs at the bottom show the frequency response of the two circuits is identical and ruler flat.

Both inputs of the DI are matched within 0.01dB
